Where is Malaysia ?

Do you know where is Malaysia ?
Do you know there is such a country called Malaysia ?

.... if you don't, then you are not the only one !!

Despite millions of dollars being channelled into
marketing and promoting Malaysia, there are still
many, many, many millions of folks worldwide
who still do not know that Malaysia exists .....
and its whereabout too .....

For example, I asked a Caucasian traveller on
transit at the Dubai Airport whether she knew
about Malaysia.

Her reply ?

"Of course .....its that country in Africa where
Madonna the singer adopted her kids ... "

Her ignorance was spot on !!

She had mistaken Malaysia for Malawi in Africa ....

On the journey to London, I asked Mrs Brown who was
seated beside me if she knew Malaysia.

She shooked her head instead.

So I told her that Malaysia is sandwiched between
Thailand and Singapore ..... it is located to the south
of Thailand and to the north of Singapore.

"of course I know Thailand " she exclaimed
"there have so much to offer the tourists .... Bangkok,
Patpong, Pattaya .... the elephant rides in Chiangmai ....
the beach hotels in Phuket and Krabi island ....."

" and Singapore too .... the malls at Orchard Road
are great for shopping .... Sentosa Island is nice too,
and the casinos at Marina Sands and Resort World
are world-class .....the Singapore hotels are fantastic "

How about Malaysia then, I asked her ?

.... she shooked her head again ....
