Malaysian Food .....

Growing up in Malaysia means a daily mix
of cosmopolitan infusion and a potpourri of
mouth-watering food delicacies from the Asian
recipes.

For the Malays, its a breakfast of nasi lemak,
then a lunch of nasi kandar, with a tea-time break
in between ..... followed by nasi briyani and satay
for dinner.

For the Chinese, breakfast could be wan tan mee,
char kuay teow, chee cheong fun .... with bah kut teh
for lunch or perhaps Hainan chicken rice
.... and a 8-course dinner .....with rounds of
beer and whisky later.

And the Indians may start the day with roti canai
or thosai, then have a banana leaf curry rice for lunch,
followed by dinner at the popular mamak restaurants.

Of course, there are other popular dishes like mee rebus,
rojak, soto ayam, mee jawa, assam laksa, Ipoh sar ho fun,
papadam, otak-otak, nasi briyani gam johor, Penang laksa,
Sarawak laksa, Sabah lontong, Melaka cendol, Kemaman
roti bakar, Kluang kaya bun, Perlis belacan, Kelantan cincaluk,
Kuantan salted fish, and so on.....

Its an endless list
which one can savour upon visiting Malaysia ....
